Smoking rates in Brazil 2023

In 2023, the share of adult people who claimed to be smokers in Brazil amounted to around 9.3 percent. This represents a decrease compared to 2006, when the percentage of respondents who mentioned to be current smokers reached over 15 percent. By gender, the share of adult smokers was higher among men than women since 2008 in the South American country.
