Risk protection insurance for medium-sized enterprises by type in 2017

This statistic displays the results of a survey conducted in Italy in 2017. During the survey, risk protection insurances subscribed by 272 Italian medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, mainly from the personal and household goods sector and family-owned businesses, have been analyzed. According to the survey results, more than 18 percent of the interviewed enterprises had product liability insurance. Moreover, approximately 15 percent of the companies protected their business against natural disasters.

By medium-sized enterprises are meant businesses with an annual turnover of 61 million euros on average and around 153 employees. Moreover, most of the surveyed companies are family-owned businesses.
