Chile: kidney beans production volume 2013-2020
During crop year 2019/20, kidney beans production in Chile amounted to approximately 9.18 thousand metric tons, the lowest figure reported since 2013. This represents a decrease of over 46 percent in comparison to the value recorded in the previous crop year. The expressive decrease in production in the South American country occurred during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic which affected different sectors worldwide.
