The take-up of office space in the central region of France (Île-de-France) amounted to 421,000 square meters of floor area in the second quarter of 2023. This higher than the previous quarter, but a decrease from the same quarter of 2022 and 2021. Among different submarkets, Paris CBD was the most active area for the office property market.

According to the source, office take-up corresponds to all leases or sales to the occupant (as opposed to sales to investors) relating to premises used as offices, regardless of the premises, if any. released at the same time. It is expressed in square meters of usable area.
The indicator takes into account only newly signed leases for more than 12 months. As such, lease renegotiations and sales to tenants already in place are excluded.
