Main reasons for using emergency contraception in France 2005 This graph illustrates the main causes of the last use of emergency contraception for women aged 15 to 54 in France in 2005, according to the age group. About 40 percent of emergency contraceptive use by women aged 15 to 19 was due to a problem with condoms, while more than 40 percent of emergency contraceptive use among women aged 20 to 24 were related to a missed pill.
