According to the study, Piedmont (16.4 percent) was the most popular destination among winter sports lovers, followed by Trentino-South Tyrol (16.1 percent) and Lombardy (12.6 percent). By contrast, only 1.1 percent of respondents went on a winter sports holiday in Molise.
