According to the source, the Spanish region of the Canary Islands ranked first on the list of employees in the tourist accommodation industry, with a yearly average amount of professionals working in the industry that reached approximately 61 thousand in 2020. Balearic Islands, Catalonia and Andalusia ranked second, third and fourth respectively with very similar figures, which ranged around over 35 thousand tourist professionals in 2018.
