The industry peaked in 2006 with figures amounting to approximately 665 thousand unsubsidized homes, but it decreased sharply during the following years, reaching its lowest point in 2013 at roughly 29 thousand dwellings. The number of incomplete unsubsidized homes stood at approximately 74 thousand in 2017.
