According to the Law 26/2006 , of July 17, mediation of private insurance and reinsurance, are "insurance agents linked to individuals or legal entities that, through the conclusion of an insurance agency contract with various insurance entities and the inscription in the special administrative Registry of insurance mediators, reinsurance brokers and of their high positions, they commit themselves before these to carry out the activity of insurance mediation ".
