Milan Stock Exchange: market cap of automobile sector 2022

Between July 2017 and December 2022 (the figures refer to the last trading day of the month), the market capitalization of Italian companies active in the automotive and parts sector and listed on the Milan Stock Exchange experienced an overall increase. Starting at around 39.2 billion euros as of July 2017, it closed at more than 89 billion euros as of December 2022. However, this increase was not linear: the Italian car sector's value, in fact, fluctuated considerably over the period, reaching one of its lowest values in March 2020.
