Distribution of inbound tourist expenditure in Italy 2014-2019, by holiday type

From 2014 to 2019, most of the international tourist expenditure in Italy came from cultural holidays. Data show that the expenditure during cultural holidays accounted for roughly 56 percent of the total inbound tourists' holiday spending. Moreover, beach holiday expenditure represented almost a quarter of the total holiday expenditure in 2019.
