Number of houses recorded as long-term empty in England in 2018, by tax band
This statistic presents the number of houses that had been empty for more than six months among all dwellings in England in 2018, listed by tax band. Chargeable houses within the tax band 'A' had the highest number of long-term empty dwellings in England with nearly 89 thousand. The correlation between council tax bracket and empty homes showed that lower valued homes are more likely to become long-term empty.
