Number of paid SVOD services used in the U.S. 2016-2022
In 2022, 67 percent of U.S. users subscribed to three or more paid video streaming services. This is an incredible increase from the 13 percent recorded in 2016, and aptly demonstrates the ways in which online video content consumption is changing. Unable to watch all their favorite content via a single platform, consumers will subscribe to multiple services at once in order to get access to the digital originals and licensed content available on each.
