Preferred vacation type in Germany 2016, by children in household This statistic illustrates the most preferred vacation type in Germany in 2016, by number of children in household. Overall the majority respondents, with children or not, preferred a vacation where they could relax and take it easy. Of those with children aged 13 to 19 years old, 65 percent preferred relaxing vacations compared to 35 percent that preferred active vacations where they do and see lot of things. In France, the preference for active vacations was higher in comparison.
