This statistic depicts the main reasons why individuals did not eat meat products in Italy in 2016. According to survey results, 33 percent of respondents stated that being a vegetarian represented an ethic choice, as they did not want to eat animal flesh. Overall, 24 percent of respondents had the opinion that not eating meat products was a healthy choice, while three percent of them found meat products too expensive.
