Mexico: poverty headcount ratio at 3.20 U.S. dollars a day 2005-2016 The poverty rate in Mexico has been oscillating throughout recent years. In 2016, approximately 11.2 percent of the Mexicans were living on less than 3.20 U.S. dollars per day, down from 18.3 percent of the country's population in 2005.
Furthermore, it is estimated that over 52 million people were living in poverty in Mexico in 2018.
