Nicaragua: competitiveness index 2008-2019

The score given to Nicaragua on the Global Competitiveness Report, a study that assesses the competitiveness level of countries' economies worldwide, has been flatlining recently. In 2019, the Nicaraguan economy had a competitiveness index of 51.5 points (in a range from 1 to 100), the very same score obtained a year earlier. Moreover, Nicaragua was regarded as one of the least competitive economies in Latin America altogether.
