
Penetration of French carmakers' new light vehicles in Europe 2012-2020
In 2020, the market share of French groups in the new light vehicle market in Europe amoounted to around 27 percent. This is a decrease of over one percent from the previous year when the reported value was around 28 percent. During five years, the market share of French groups in the new light-duty vehicle remained almost stable. Figures amounted to nearly 22 percent between 2012 and 2016. Then, French car manufacturers extended their market scope. As of 2017, they started to experience an upward trend and reached more than 28 percent in 2018.
