In 2021, Mexico's solar PV power generation increased by more than 20 percent when compared to the previous year, nearing 12 terawatt hours. In comparison to 2017, solar PV generation in the North American country increased by around 10-fold. In that same year, the solar PV installed capacity in Mexico surpassed seven gigawatts.
