** Black bean sauce in this statistic, called "Jajang" in Korean, is a seasoning made from fermented or germinated soybeans. The Jajang sauce is mostly served with rice or noodles in South Korea.

*** "Tang" and "Guk" are soup-like dishes in Korean cuisine, usually translated as soup in English. This statistic adopts the proper nouns to distinguish them.
