This statistic shows the voting rate of the runoff presidential election held in Chile on December 17, 2017. Approximately 49 percent of the total number of officially registered voters in Chile casted a vote for the 2017 runoff presidential elections, whereas the voting rate outside of Chile reached 54.48 percent of the electorate. The former Chilean president Sebastián Piñera was elected president for the term 2018-2022 after receiving more than 54.5 percent of valid votes cast.
