Planned spending on smart home in the U.S. 2017
From 2018 to 2022, smart home technology is poised for a rapid growth in the United States. Segments like smart speakers, video entertainment and home security are expected to grow by considerable times – with the idea of controlling your house via smart devices becoming more and more mainstream.
Almost 30% of U.S. consumers (between 18 and 59 and likely to invest in smart home technology within the next year) are planning to spend US$251-$500 on their smart home devices. Another one fifth of the consumers are likely to invest US$101-$250 for the same purpose.

While the global revenue growth of smart home devices is predicted to rise up to a total of US$192 billion by 2023, the U.S. alone, is forecast to generate smart home revenues of about US$42 billion in that same year.
