The statistic shows the distribution of major prefectures where foreign affiliated companies are based in Japan in 2016, broken down by prefecture. That year, about 67 percent of foreign affiliated companies were based in Tokyo. Kanagawa ranked second with roughly ten percent of overseas affiliated companies.
