Solar photovoltaics capacity per inhabitant in the European Union (EU-28) 2013-2018

The European Union (EU-28) has a solar photovoltaic capacity of 223.6 watts per capita. In the period of consideration, figures continuously increased by approximately 68 watts. The greatest increase was noted between 2013 and 2014, when capacity per inhabitant rose by nearly 16 watts.

As of 2018, Germany, Belgium and Italy recorded the highest solar photovoltaic capacity per capita among all EU members. Furthermore, the 28 EU members added 7.6 gigawatts worth of solar photovoltaic capacity, whereas overall cumulative solar photovoltaic capacity reached 114.5 gigawatts.
