Belize: gender gap index 2015-2022
In 2022, Belize scored 0.7 in the gender gap index, the highest score since 2015, although the same as the previous year. This represents a gender gap of approximately 30 percent (women are 30 percent less likely than men to have equal opportunities). That year, the gender gap in the area of political empowerment in Belize amounted to 92 percent.
