In 2017, the highest share of respondents across all categories chose the need to see and touch the product before purchase, as their main reason for continuing to shop in-store. This reason was chosen by 47 percent of respondents for clothing, shoes or leather goods, by 46 percent for jewelry and watches, and by 39 percent for cosmetics or fragrances.
