Agriculture, forestry and fishing contributed over 28 trillion Indian rupees in fiscal year 2023 to India's gross value output. Figures showed an increasing trend in values since fiscal year 2012. The largest share came from crops within the industry at approximately 54 percent that same year, although fishing and livestock grew rapidly in the measured time period.
