Opinion on transgender people's rights in Japan 2017
This statistic displays the public opinion on transgender people's rights in Japanese society in 2017. When asked whether they believed transgender people should be protected from discrimination by the government, approximately 60 percent of the respondents taking part in the Ipsos survey said they agreed with the statement. In regard to adopting or conceiving children, over 50 percent of respondents in Japan agreed that both should be allowed for transgender people.
