Installed electricity generation capacity by the central sector in India 2006-2019

During fiscal year 2019, the installed electricity generation capacity by the central sector amounted to around 86.6 gigawatts across India. Being the third largest producer as well as consumer of electricity in the world, the country's national electric grid had an installed generation capacity of approximately 356 gigawatts.
