This statistic shows the results of the Eurobarometer survey carried out in Italy as of 2017 whose aim was to find out people's perceptions of climate change as a global problem. Specifically, people were asked to indicate who is responsible for tackling climate change within the EU. As of the survey period, 42 percent of the interviewed Italian people declared that the national governments are responsible for tackling climate change. Other 29 percent claimed that business and industry are responsible for protecting the environment. Conversely, only nine percent of the respondents declared that it is also his/her own responsibility to tackle climate change.
