Spotify's operating income 2013-2022
In 2022, global music streaming service Spotify reported an operating loss of 659 million euros, a significant number compared to the 95 million euros profit in the previous year. Spotify also noted in its report that it expects its costs to increase in future periods and as such anticipates a negative effect on its profitability. Some costs include content creation, sales and marketing, general administration, and securing publishing rights for audio and video content.
