This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted in Italy in 2017 among 164 companies, mainly small- sized enterprises active in the manufacturing sector. During the survey, employees were asked to estimate the monetary losses their company faced because of fraud in the last 24 months. As of the survey period, 18 percent of respondents claimed that the fraud impact on their business added up to less than 25 thousand dollars. Conversely, 21 percent of the surveyed companies declared that the losses associated with fraud against their organization ranged between one million and five million US dollars.
