Latin America: perception of public safety at night 2015-2017, by gender The statistic shows the results of a survey carried out from 2015 to 2017 to find out about respondents' perceptions of public safety in Latin America. In 2017, only 31 percent of female respondents claimed to feel safe walking alone at night, whereas 45 percent of male respondents said they felt safe doing so.
