This statistic displays the most common materials that residents in the United Kingdom (UK), aged 18 to 55 years old, wrongly thought they could put in recycle bins in 2018. The most common item was soap pump dispenser lids, with 44 percent of respondents wrongly thinking that they could be put in recycling bins. 34 percent had the misconception that used kitchen roll could also be recycled.
