Solar PV RES Electricity final consumption in the EU-28 2010-2020
This statistic displays the annual renewable electricity consumption of solar photovoltaics in the European Union (EU-28) from 2010 to 2020, in million tons of oil equivalent (Mtoe). It shows that in 2015, solar PV renewable electricity consumption reached 8.8 Mtoe in the European Union. This is expected to increase the following year to 9.28 Mtoe. However, there is expected to be a noticeable drop in consumption in 2017.
In 2015, the share of electricity from renewable sources (RES-E) in the EU was 28.8 percent.
