Uruguay: share of households below the poverty line 2006-2022
The incidence of homelessness and poverty in households registered a decrease between 2006 and 2020. In 2017, it was estimated that 5.2 percent of households were living below the poverty line in Uruguay, the lowest share of the analyzed period. In 2022, the value was 6.9 percent, which was a reduction of 0.6 percent points compared to the previous year.
