Cruise passenger traffic at the port of Puerto Vallarta 2013-2022
The number of cruise passengers welcomed at the Mexican port of Puerto Vallarta roughly quadrupled in 2022 compared to the previous year. This increase shows a recovery from the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which began in 2020 and continued affecting cruise tourism in the country in 2021. Overall, the cruise traffic at the port grew by approximately 350 thousand passengers from 2021 to 2022.
