Number of active physicians in Peru 2010-2020
In 2020, Peru had a total of 90,094 active physicians, up from 86,252 doctors registered a year earlier. Overall, the number of practicing doctors has been increasing since 2010, when more than 48 thousand physicians registered in the South American country. In 2018, the region that reported the largest number of medical doctors in the country was Lima, with 45,235 practicing physicians.
