Older men's drinking habits in Italy 2020, by type of alcoholic consumption
In 2020, around 81 percent of male individuals over 65 years of age in Italy consumed alcoholic beverages. This statistic digs into the different types of alcohol consumption among older individuals, as well as different consumption behaviors. According to data, 75.4 percent of Italian men aged 65 and over consumed wine at least once over the previous 12 months. Beer consumers accounted for around 53.2 percent of elderly men.
