This statistic gives information on the share of male individuals consuming excessive amounts of alcohol in Italy from 2007 to 2017. It can be observed that the share of men who used to consume too much alcohol experienced a general decrease during the period under observation. As of 2007, alcohol abuse was common among 22.4 percent of male individuals, whereas the ratio of heavy drinkers accounted for around 14.8 percent by the end of 2017.
