Malaria cases reported in Peru 2020, by region

In 2020, out of 15,822 cases of reported malaria infections in Peru, 13,398 came from Loreto, the northernmost region of this South American country. This region accounted for 84 percent of the malaria cases reported in the country during that year. Amazonas region followed, with a total of 1,553 reported malaria cases.
