This statistic illustrates the average per capita daily time spent traveling by the mobile population in Italy on weekdays in the period from 2002 to 2016, broken down by macro-region. According to the findings, people from the Center traveled the longest time, spending on average 61.1 minutes traveling each day. This was larger by about seven minutes than the figure for people from the North East (54.2 minutes per capita).
