Colombia: reading penetration by region 2020

During a 2020 study conducted in Colombia, nearly 95 percent of respondents in the Amazonía-Orinoquia region said they had read during the 12 months prior to the survey. Among subjects in the Oriental region in Colombia, the share stood below 90 percent.

Central: Antioquia, Caldas, Caquetá, Huila, Quindío, Risaralda y Tolima (7 departments).
Pacific: Cauca, Chocó, Nariño y Valle del Cauca (4 departments).
Amazonia/Orinoquía: Arauca, Casanare, Vichada, Putumayo, y Vaupés (5 departments).
