Japan: share of wearing eyeglasses by age and gender

The majority of Japanese adults wore eyeglasses as revealed in a survey conducted in December 2021.The largest group of spectacle wearers were men aged 70 and older, with close to 87 percent wearing eyeglasses on a regular basis. The share among women in the same age group was slightly smaller with 83.1 percent.
