During a 2020 study in Colombia, 46.5 percent of male respondents stated that they had read newspapers during the month preceding the survey. Among women, the share of readers stood below 46 percent. Overall, 13.6 percent of subjects who did not read newspapers in Colombia said they lacked the time for it.
