Number of assisted reproduction treatments in Italy 2017, by region
In 2017, around seven thousand assisted reproduction treatments were initiated in Italy per million women aged 15-45 years old. This statistic shows differences in this figure across regions. According to data, in Aosta Valley and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano there was the highest incidence of women resorting to assisted reproduction, with 21.2 thousand and 18.6 thousand cases per million women, respectively. In the Italian region of Marche, on the contrary, the lowest number of treatments was recorded.
