Prevalence of individuals suffering from diabetes in Italy 2022, by age group
In 2022, about 6.6 percent of the Italian population suffered from diabetes. This statistic shows the difference in diabetes' prevalence over the various age groups. Overall, the incidence of diabetes was much higher among older people. In fact, as much as 21.6 percent of individuals aged 75 years or older were affected by diabetes in Italy.
