During 2006/2007 to 2008/2009, the rate of asthma hospitalization among children aged 0-4 years averaged 105 per 100,000 (age-standardized) in Alberta whereas the rate decreased to 72 per 100,000 in the period between 2013/2014 and 2015/2016.
