In 2022, approximately 1,092 men and 978 women between 25 and 49 years old had to be admitted to hospitals across Peru due to mental and behavioral disorders. The second group with most hospitalizations in the country were individuals between 15 and 24 years. In that same year, there were a total of 2,786 women and 2,330 men hospitalized in Peru due to mental and behavioral disorders.
