According to a brand evaluation released in May 2024, TikTok and its Chinese sister Douyin overtook China's state-owned commercial bank ICBC to be the most valuable Chinese brand. The short video giant saw 28 percent growth in its brand value to 84 billion U.S. dollars. ICBC recorded a modest three percent increase.
